Thousands of people across the country are homeless and sleep rough on the streets. They are some of the most vulnerable and voiceless people among us. What’s more saddening is the number just keeps increasing. A new, undocumented wave of homelessness is hitting the streets as people made jobless by the pandemic are being evicted from rooms they were renting.
OUR INTERVENTION
STC worked closely with rough sleepers in the UK throughout the year. We held regular events for the homeless community where we were able to provide hot deductible meals, homeless kits, clothes, free health checks, grooming services and much more. We had weekly hot tea/snack stands for rough sleepers in town centres and host festive gatherings in the winter for our homeless family.
